Where Can I Serve?

Mark 10:45, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
John 13:16, “I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.”
Serving was very important to Jesus Christ and it is very important to us here at the Pryor church of Christ. We have multiple ways for our members to serve. No matter your age, your health, or you ability, we can find a place for you to serve.

Mission Outreach

The Pryor Church of Christ is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. We support mission efforts in Honduras, Ghana, New Guinea and Hope Harbor in Claremore, OK.  We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.

Greeters

The greeters here at Pryor church play an important role in this family.  They are the first faces that people see as they arrive to worship.  You should always feel welcomed with a handshake (maybe a hug) and a smile as you enter our building.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of the Pryor church of Christ. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes.  We also maintain an active Facebook for additional church communication.

Marriage Counseling

Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage.  The role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples has, by God’s grace, saved marriages and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. The Pryor church of Christ is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. We have the POP (Power of Prayer) group that meets twice a month.  This is a group of women who meet and pray for various events and individuals.  Each Wednesday, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and Bible study. Each Sunday, the congregation also spends much time in prayer to the True and Living God.

Children’s Bible Hour

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, the Pryor Church of Christ holds a children’s bible hour in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. This also gives parents a better chance to listen and gain from the message being presented.

Youth Ministries

We offer many different fun activities and many different opportunities to serve for all of our school aged kids. We have classes for all ages of children from just a few months old, all the way through senior high school.
